Addie Thorley is the author of Night Spinner and An Affair of Poisons, which was chosen as a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection and is a YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults nominee. Sky Breaker, the conclusion to the Night Spinner duology, will release on May 4th, 2021.
When she’s not writing, Addie can be found gallivanting in the woods or galloping around the barn where she works as a horse trainer and exercise rider.

Chrystal D. Giles is a children’s book author and champion for diversity and representation in children’s literature. She is a member of SCBWI and was selected as a 2018 We Need Diverse Books Mentee. Take Back the Block (Random House, January 2021) is her middle grade debut. One of Chrystal’s poems appears in the poetry anthology, Thanku: Poems of Gratitude (Lerner, September 2019). She lives with her husband and son in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Melanie Conklin grew up in North Carolina and worked as a product designer for ten years before she began her writing career. Her debut middle grade novel, Counting Thyme, is a Bank Street Best Children’s Book, winner of the International Literacy Association Teacher’s Choice Award, and nominated to four state reading lists. Her second novel for young readers, Every Missing Piece, published with Little, Brown in May, 2020. When she’s not writing, Melanie spends her time doodling and dreaming up new ways to be creative. Jennifer Voigt Kaplan is an award-winning author of children’s fiction. Her debut novel, Crushing the Red Flowers, won a 2020 Christopher Award in the Books for Young People category. It was also recognized in six literary contests before its publication, including earning a Letter of Merit for the SCBWI Work-in-Progress Grant and winning the middle-grade category of Publishers Weekly Booklife Prize for Fiction. Jennifer was born in Germany, raised in Philadelphia, and now resides in the New York City area.
