Chrystal D. Giles is a children’s book author and champion for diversity and representation in children’s literature. She is a member of SCBWI and was selected as a 2018 We Need Diverse Books Mentee. Take Back the Block (Random House, January 2021) is her middle grade debut. One of Chrystal’s poems appears in the poetry anthology, Thanku: Poems of Gratitude (Lerner, September 2019). She lives with her husband and son in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Emma Kress loves writing about badass girls and her debut novel Dangerous Play (Macmillan, Summer 2021) is a fast-paced thriller about a team of field hockey players who refuse to accept the world as it is, and set out to change it. An educator of over 20 years, Emma was one of four finalists for New York State Teacher of the Year. She is a graduate of Vassar College, Columbia University’s Teachers College, and the Vermont College of Fine Arts’ Writing for Children and Young Adults MFA program. Before teaching, Emma worked in social services helping survivors of sexual assault. Now, she lives with her family in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Lyndall Clipstone writes about monsters and the girls who like to kiss them. A former youth librarian who grew up running wild in the Barossa Ranges of South Australia, she currently lives in Adelaide, where she tends her own indoor secret garden.
Her debut novel, Lakesedge, will be published by Henry Holt, Titan UK and Pan Macmillan Australia in Fall 2021 with a sequel, Forestfall, to publish in Fall 2022.
She is represented by Jill Grinberg at Jill Grinberg Literary Management.
