Even for traditionally published authors, self-publishing is an increasingly popular way to increase audience and make money. Author Sean Fletcher will go over some of the common pitfalls new self-published authors make, and tactics and tips to make self-publishing a success, such as branding, platform, market, audience, and more.
Sean Fletcher is the Amazon bestselling author of YA fantasy, and an award-winning author of middle grade fantasy. He has published fifteen books in four separate series including the Heir of Dragons, Mages of New York, and Academy of Magic series. When not writing his next book, he works as a freelance writer and developmental editor for Andrea Hurst & Associates Literary Management, as a developmental editor for Relay Publishing LLC, and as an editor on the highly selective editorial site Reedsy. As a writing teacher and workshop leader he has presented at the Pacific Northwest Writers Conference, the Willamette Writers Conference, the Rutgers Writers Conference, RWA San Jose Chapter, the Seattle and Dallas Writers’ Workshops, co-taught at the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts MFA, presented classes at numerous writers’ organizations, libraries, and workshops, and co-written a feature article for Writer’s Digest.
