This Live Q&A focuses on finding inspiration (and solutions to typical challenges faced by writers) in your favorite published books. Among the questions to be covered are: structuring your novel, genre-blending, and foreshadowing.
Katya de Becerra is the author of What The Woods Keep and Oasis. Born in Russia, Katya studied in California and now lives in Melbourne. After earning a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Melbourne, Katya spent the last ten years as a university lecturer and scholar researching technologies and inequalities in education. She’s a co-host of #SpecLitChat and a writing mentor with the 1st5pages Workshop. Her short fiction has appeared in Dark Edifice and dotdotdash, while her latest short story Solace Spring will appear in the forthcoming Sherlock Holmes Anthology, The Only One in the World.
