Alyssa Eisner Henkin began her career as an editor at Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. She joined Trident as a literary agent in late 2006 because her favorite part of editing was deal-making and launching the careers of authors and illustrators. At Trident Alyssa represents all forms of literature for young people from board books through young adult. She is currently seeking more middle grade fiction and is perpetually drawn to humor, heart, and heroes and heroines who seek to make the world a better place. A lifelong history buff, Alyssa wants to represent more nonfiction from mold-breaking picture book biographies (if they are illustrated, all the better!) to YA memoirs that cross over to adult readers.
Gail D. Villanueva is a Filipino author born and based in the Philippines. She’s also a web designer, an entrepreneur, and a graphic artist. She loves pineapple pizza, seafood, and chocolate, but not in a single dish together (eww). Gail and her husband live in the outskirts of Manila with their dogs, ducks, turtles, cats, and one friendly but lonesome chicken. My Fate According to the Butterfly (Scholastic Press) is her debut novel. Learn more at GailDVillanueva.com
