Amber Caravéo is the co-founder of Skylark Literary – a boutique literary agency that represents US and UK authors. Skylark aims to seek and support the very best writers of children’s and YA books. Prior to founding Skylark, Amber was the Editorial Director for Orion Children’s Books, where she was privileged to work with a host of prize-winning and bestselling authors including Liz Kessler, Juno Dawson and Holly Black. Before that she was Senior Commissioning Editor for Random House Children’s Books. After many years working for major trade publishers, Amber is ideally placed to negotiate with them on behalf of her authors. She is particularly looking for talented new voices, and Skylark specializes in offering a bespoke service tailor-made to each author’s individual needs.

Joanna is co-founder of Skylark Literary Limited, a specialist Children’s and YA literary agency representing UK and US authors. Joanna set up Skylark Literary with Amber Caraveo in 2014. Their aim is to seek and support the very best writers for young people. Previously she was Editorial Director for Children’s Fiction at Mulcahy Conway Associates. Joanna began her publishing career with Hodder Children’s Books and was there for many years, before becoming Senior Commissioning Editor at Simon & Schuster.
