Lauren Mansy, author of The Memory Thief, shares her journey of becoming an author, focusing on how memories and personal experiences can play a huge role in storytelling and how writing can be a powerful outlet for processing deep emotions, giving each one of us a unique story to tell.
Lauren is from Chicago area, where she grew up helping her parents in their family business before she spent years working with youth, from young children to high schoolers.
When she’s not writing, Lauren loves staying active outdoors, exploring the city to find the best deep dish pizza, and spending time with her family.
Her debut novel The Memory Thief was inspired by Lauren’s own journey with her mother, who was a survivor when all hope seemed lost.
