About Me

Hello, I’m Alexandria, but all my friends call Al. Besides writing, I spend a lot of time drawing, working out and setting goals for my future. My novel is in the final phases and I’m looking for someone to push me to the next level.

Novel – Human, is 110,00 words, first person, present-tense. I am looking for someone who’s writing at least in first person. It is a little more New Adult than Young Adult, with my main character nineteen almost twenty.

Love to Read

I love reading fantasy, science fiction, a little romance . Okay with violence.

Hard No's

I don’t like reading sexual scenes and a lot of language, (some language is okay).

Experience
I've written a lot, I'm actively seeking an agent

About the WIP (Query)

The Angelic Order has reigned for two hundred and fifty years with absolute power. With genetically-engineered Angels ruling the skies and scientifically-enhanced demons maintaining the humans on the ground, no one dares to defy them. Crysta Crane didn’t dare to.

Classified as a human, Crysta does all she can to survive. To go unnoticed, to work and keep a roof over her sister’s head.  She’s contempt with the hand life has dealt, until her sister Kallau, is murdered. Broken, she demands the life of the demon who took her sister, but revenge isn’t as easy as one likes.

This is a work in progress.

First Page

Disembodied words reverberate through my ears and carry over the miles and miles of the junkyard.  Something about fighting for freedom and the oppressed. I don’t know, really. It’s hard to hear over the crunching metal as hover-tractors eat away the scrap piles.

Instinctively, everyone ignores it, heads bowed as they sort through junk and broken machinery.

Gunfire chills people’s blood. Most humans stop, daring a glance at the tower. I don’t.

I expected it, knowing from experience. Random killings always follow these unruly messages. If something defies the Angelic Order, it’s shooting time. The guards kill the nearest humans as if it will fix the problem.

Cruel and unnecessary, but it’s the way of life.

A new announcement booms through the speakers. It’s a voice, I’m familiar with, though I’ve never seen his face. It belongs to the overseer of Section 1: Sub-Section 14 of the Angelic Order. Or what we, humans, call Garbage City. Nathen Stonewood, Demon First Class. His voice is pleasant like how ice is pleasant on the skin for a mere second before it burns.

I stop and face the tower. Everyone does. It’s required.

“Humans of Sub-Section 14, you are blessed. You have jobs, homes, food, so if anyone dares to rebel against the Angelic Order, they will be executed. If anyone tries to escape, they will be executed. If anyone has any connections to any Black-Winged Rebels, they will be executed.”

There’s a long pause.

“And a reminder for the creator of these disobedient declarations. If you believe you will be hunted down and executed, you are wrong. We will find you, beat you within an inch of your life and then we will hand you over to the Angels.”

Another pause.

“May the Angelic Order reign and rule.”

“May the Angelic Order reign and rule,” I repeat and so do everyone else.

Contact this CP
Before you reach out...

Here are some best practices for reaching out to a potential CP:

  • Include the link to your own CP Match profile! You can find it on your Dashboard. Don't have one yet? What are you waiting for? Anyone with a WriteOnCon.org account can make one!
  • Introduce yourself a little, and say what appealed to you about their listing.
  • Respect what's listed here in their profile. They took the time to fill it out, and they've included this information for a reason. Don't send a message about a book they specifically say is a Hard No, for example.
  • Offer to swap a small sample of your works, so you can see if you're really compatible. First chapters are a good starting place.
  • If one party no longer wants to continue the interaction, it's nobody's fault. Sometimes finding the right CP takes time.

Happy writing and CPing!
