How do you balance all of your responsibilities with your writing time? Is there a plan of action you take to make sure writing never takes the back seat?

What was the biggest difference for you between being self-published and traditionally published? What shocked you most about the latter as opposed to the former?
Thanks for the talk on self-publishing/traditional publishing!
Once, I read a traditionally published trilogy, and the author and the fanbase enjoyed the books so much that the author self-published a couple sequels. Is it (un)common for authors who go with traditional publishing utilize self-publishing later?

What did you learn from self-publishing that you think benefited you when making the transition to traditional? Do you think it helped to prepare you?

Do you indie authors are seen in a positive light by agents/publishers because we already have a fanbase? Or do agents/publishers frown on self-publishing in general? Thank you!

Do you think the rise in popularity of self-publishing makes it harder to stand out now? What advice would you give for standing out amongst so many self-published books?

What advice would you give to someone looking in to self-publishing? It seems like such a mammoth task, where should you start? Wattpad? Straight to Amazon? Do you think it should be free at first to get ratings or start charging right away?

Do you think traditional authors have more time on their hands to write than indie authors do? One of the things that has been appealing to me about traditional is that it looks like I’d have help with marketing, etc so I’d have more time to right. Is that true, or is it just wishful thinking?
Successful indie authors tend to be really amazing at marketing. Did you find yourself bringing any of your indie marketing methods into your traditionally published book?

I hear that the most successful self-pubbers are those in the adult romance genre, because the audience is already there. How difficult is it to self-pub a kid’s book, say a middle grade?

Hi! Thank you so much for doing this 🙂
In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of both routes?
How do you know which option is best for you?
Thank you again 🙂
Do you think it counts as jumping to traditional if say, you self published a few short stories but no novels were published?
What would you say to the people who think self-publishing isn’t a valid way to publish your book?

You’re a great speaker.
Thank you for taking the time to help us.
