LIVE WORKSHOP: Picture Book Beat Sheet
Heather will walk participants through 15 different story beats, using examples from iconic films and audio clips. She will read aloud from her picture book, A Symphony of Cowbells and show participants how to “beat it out.”
At the end of the session, there will be space for questions and for participants to apply what they’ve learned to a favorite text or WIP (though receiving feedback will depend on the time remaining).
Heather has also provided all attendees with their own “take-home” handout of her beat sheet. You can download it here as a Word Doc.
