Not with my commentary. I may be able to send you the original Power Point presentation with all of the original examples. I’ll need to see if I can find it. I was having computer issues when I was switching it to a shorter presentation and may have lost the original.
Do you absolutely have to BREAK your symbol? Can’t it be just, say, skewed, relegated (temporarily) to another position or something less violent? Or is all that contained in your choice of saying “break”?
The term break can definitely happen in a few ways. I think as much as possible it really must BREAK if it is possible to do so. Some symbols can’t really “break” in the traditional sense, right? Like when the symbol is a color. For those kinds of symbols, the character’s attitude around the symbol or its prominence can break. But yes, there are many ways for something to “break” without it necessarily being “destroyed.”

Great tips! The video moved a little fast through the materials, and I can see why you had this as a 45-min workshop originally! Learned a lot, thanks!

Helpful information but you tried to stuff 45 minutes into 15 by speaking so quickly. I wish you had actually created a new 15 minute presentation. Also, there was a distracting slapping sound throughout.
Too bad because the subject is so important and you obviously know how to use this writing tool.
Thank you.
I really loved this! I’d been thinking idly about how my next WIP feels very wintry but hadn’t sat down to think about it as a symbol I could develop. A lot to think about!

Would you be willing to give the 45 minute version of this class as an SCBWI webinar? I’m sure a lot of us (myself included) would love to see the longer version.
Great presentation! Is there somewhere I could access the 45 minute program you spoke about to get more information?

I would love that as well, if possible. My head is absolutely spinning… in the best way possible. Thank you!
Could I get that too? I absolutely love this presentation! Very helpful tips. Thank you so much!
Give me your email. Might be a bit because of my computer crash.
Sorry, I’m trying to reply to Amanda and having tech difficulties!
Vong, email me at [email protected] and I’ll send.
Give me your email and I’ll do my best.
Thanks! I sent you an email with my contact info.

If SCBWI asks me to, absolutely!
