2020 has been hard. Here’s some good news for a change!
WriteOnCon will be taking place February 19-21, 2021. Three days jam-packed with craft tips, industry insights, feedback and inspiration. No matter where you are on your publishing journey, there will be something for you here.
We’re already starting to organize our speaker lineup. Watch our newsletter or social media for official announcements in December! And check out info about our Critique Boutique and registration below!

Registration is now open for your favorite online kidlit writers’ conference!
Admission prices for WriteOnCon 2021 are as follows:
Free Admission – $0
Yes, we have a free admission tier every year! You don’t even have to register for our website, though you will still need a (free) registration at our forums. Non-paying attendees will have access to our keynote and showcase events, our CP Match directory (open year-round), and our critique forums.
General Admission – $10
This tier grants access to all the Free Admission events, of course, plus all of our blog, vlog, and podcast events. New this year – General Admission attendees will also be able to view our Feedback Sessions (previously called Pitch Sessions), which for 2021 are being pre-recorded immediately prior to the conference instead of being held live. Good for Feb 19 thru Feb 28.
Full Admission – $15
With this you get access to every event of WriteOnCon 2021 – everything from General, plus our popular live events. Ask questions of our speakers in our Q&As and group panels, or participate in hands-on workshops where you’ll have a chance to learn something new and try putting it into practice with feedback from your instructor. Good for Feb 19 thru Feb 28.
Extended Admission – $20
All the goodies of Full Admission, but you get to enjoy them for a full month! Take your time perusing our packed schedule of prepared events and go back to catch the recordings of live events you missed. Good for Feb 19 thru March 21.
Time Traveler Admission – $25
This is Extended Admission, but with the added bonus of our entire Anytime Archive Access – nearly every single event from WriteOnCons 2017 to 2020. That’s more than 400 archived events! Learn something new or revisit old favorites. Good for Feb 19 thru March 21.
Sponsor a writer – $15
Give the gift of WriteOnCon to writers in need. These tickets provide Full Admission access and will be reserved and offered to writers who are faced with financial challenges that mean they’d be unable to attend otherwise.
You can buy your admission anytime between now and March 21, 2021. To be able to attend events live, admissions must be bought prior to or during the conference (February 19-21, 2021). Prices for WriteOnCon 2021 will never increase, so purchase when it makes sense for you.
Never been here before. Is the conference for 2021 still a go? Why is there info still shown from last year as the most current post. I am wondering if this is an active site?
Definitely active! If a little delayed during the holiday season. The conference information for 2021 will be made live as it becomes available. The best way to stay up to date is to subscribe to our newsletter!
I just noticed that the WriteOnCon2021 and SCBWI Winter Conference are on the same days. Thank you, thank you, thank you for having extended admission options. I have no clue how I am going to attend both virtually, but I will try to make it work. You guys rock!
