Designer of graphics, writer of fiction, reader of middle grade, editor of manuscripts, and maker of bad puns. Elza believes that an imagination is something that should be cultivated through books & comics, arts & crafts, and trial & error.
Elza explores the world of paper and ink through books, handlettering, doodles, snail mail, and whatever else captures her imagination for an afternoon.
Elza comes from a family of “book people” and is one half of a dynamic writing duo with her mom, CJ. They write middle grade adventure stories that usually include soda pop, magical pets, combat boots, quirky uncles, world domination, and lots of puns. They share their love for middle grade fiction on their blog, Middle Grade Carousel and on Instagram @mgcarousel.
