Tracy Marchini
Literary Agent Tracy Marchini joined BookEnds in June 2016 and is thrilled to represent BookEnds’ first picture book — Shark Nate-O by Tara Luebbe and Becky Cattie (Little Bee, 2018) — as well as the forthcoming The Oldest Student: How Mary Walker Learned to Read by New Voices Award-Winner Rita Lorraine Hubbard (Schwartz & Wade, 2020), multi-published illustrator Charlene Chua’s Amy Wu and the Perfect Bao (Aladdin, 2019; written by Kat Zhang), Meera Sriram’s US debut The Yellow Suitcase (Penny Candy Books, 2019) and debut author-illustrator Yvonne Ivinson’s Fox and the Box (Greenwillow, 2019). She’s also excited about two forthcoming middle grade debuts — Jennifer Robin Barr’s Goodbye, Mr. Spalding (Calkins Creek/Boyds Mills, 2019) and Margaret Finnegan’s Booler (Atheneum, 2020).
Prior to joining BookEnds, she earned her MFA in Writing for Children, ran her own editorial business, and worked as a Literary Agents Assistant. As an author, her debut picture book, Chicken Wants a Nap, earned a starred review from Kirkus and is a 2019 Bridge to Reading Picture Book Award Nominee. With more than ten years of experience in fiction, non-fiction and illustration for children and teens, Tracy is excited to grow her list of both debut and award-winning authors and illustrators!
