​Rachel Sullivan Rachel Sullivan is a dog-hugger and tree-lover. Growing up with three sisters sparked her passion for the advocacy of gender equality, which she channels into writing books about monster women and girls.

When she’s not writing, Rachel works at a public library. She enjoys exploring nature, learning, attempting to grow her own food, and reading. She lives among the evergreens near Seattle, Washington.

I’ve heard writers say that they got an agent, but the agent didn’t end up doing much work for the writer. Or a publisher wanted the book, but then didn’t do much to promote the book. How can I know if an agent/publisher will really help to promote the book vs. doing the minimum?
