I write mostly YA, but I have some ideas for Adult RomComs — should I choose a new pen name? If I was writing in different genres within Adult, I wouldn’t be inclined to do that. But being that’s it’s YA to Adult, I wondered if I should, even if it’s just a slight change (my current pen name is Kay Em Ellis, but maybe I could write adult under K.M. Ellis??). Just wasn’t sure if there was a big enough difference between YA and Adult to warrant it, or not.

I think it’s really cool that you started out in sci-fi but ended up publishing a contemporary first. I loved Starfish and Summer Bird Blue and look forward to reading the others. I normally write YA fantasy, but I’ve recently branched out to adult sci-fi. Thank you for the inspiring podcast!
