WriteOnCon 2022 is almost here! Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about accessing all of the amazing conference events. You can check our schedule to see the full line-up for 2022.
What Your Admission Gives You Access To
Depending on the level of admission you purchased, you will have access to different types of conference events.
Attendees who have not purchased admission will only be able to access our keynote events.
Keynotes are posted at the opening and close of each conference day. We have selected a few of our favorite topics, which we hope will be useful and inspiring to everyone! These events can be found on the main WriteOnCon Conference page, or by accessing directly from the schedule. You will still need to log in to leave comments on keynote events; you can sign up for a free WriteOnCon account here, if you don’t have one.
Purchasers of Basic Admission will only have access to our prepared events (plus the free keynote events). These include our blog, vlog seminars and workshops, and podcast events — and also feedback events this year! There are over 65 prepared events in all. Our contributors have created some incredibly helpful and eye-opening posts on topics ranging from writing advice to career-building and the publication process, so there’s lots of great stuff here to help you on your writing journey. These events can be found on the conference page or by accessing directly from the schedule. This admission is good through end of day July 24.
Those who bought Full Admission will have access to all of the above, plus our live events. We have over 30 live events lined up over the three days of the conference. These include Q&A sessions and panels with industry professionals (authors, agents, and editors), live seminars, and live workshops. These events will be on the conference page and the live events page (you can catch them on whichever one you fancy), and also direct-linked from the schedule. This admission is good through end of day July 24.
Everyone with Extended Admission will receive exactly the same content as the Full Admission. However, Extended Admission attendees will be able to access content for three more weeks, until August 14.
The WriteOnCon Feedback Sessions
Regardless of your admission level, you can submit your work for feedback. You can submit your work for feedback from our website, or directly by going to this form.
Submissions are currently open and will closed on July 11 at 11:59pm EST
For more information on how the forums work, please see our Ultimate Guide to Feeback Sessions
Accessing the Conference
All registrations made through our website are automatically added to our conference registry. You should receive an email containing login and password information. If you have not gotten your login info, please email us.
NOTE: The email address we sent your login info to is the one you used when paying; this may be the email attached to your PayPal account. Please check that email account — including your junk and spam folders — before emailing us. You can change your preferred email address once you log in.
This login is your key to the conference events. You will need to log in using this information in order to access the content that you registered for. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the password reset tool on the login page.
To log in, go here or use the Login link in the navigation menu of our website. Once you have logged in, the website should remember your login for the duration of the conference, as long as you access the site from the same device each time.
All conference events can be found at the Conference link in the navigation bar. You can also access them through direct links in the conference schedule. All events are listed, but you will only be able to access the ones that you purchased admission for.
Attendees who purchased Extended Access can access past conferences through our Archive Access. This will only be available from July 15 – August 14.
Live Events
Live events are accessed through our Live Events page or directly from the schedule. Only Full and Extended attendees will be able to access the events on the Live Events page (though everyone can see a preview of the posts).
Speakers will be taking their questions from the comments left on their event’s page. You can also submit questions ahead of time by filling out this form. These comments will be pulled by the moderator; inappropriate content/language will be removed and duplicate questions may be combined. You will need to be logged into your WriteOnCon account to leave a comment on the post.
COMMENTS ARE LIVE-LOADING – you don’t need to reload the page after submitting a comment, so it won’t interrupt your viewing of the event.
If you missed a live event while it was live, don’t panic! All live events will be archived for you to catch up on later (you just won’t have the opportunity to interact with our live speaker).
For more detailed information about these events, please see our Ultimate Guide to Live Events.
Late Registrations
If you have not yet registered, there’s still time! We will be accepting Basic and Full Admission purchases through July 17, and Extended Admissions until August 14, which are the days when these respective admissions expire.
You can register for WriteOnCon 2022 here.
All conference content — keynotes, blogs, vlogs, podcasts, and archived live events — will remain available through the admission expiration dates. You can continue to access it using the same login and webpage links as during the conference.
Time Zones
WriteOnCon operates on Eastern Daylight Time. If you live in a different time zone, make sure to account for the time difference when planning your attendance! You can search the web (a search for “current time EDT” will pop up WriteOnCon time) – or you can add a second clock to your computer or phone.
The exact process by which to do this may differ according to the device you are using. Do a web search for adding clocks to your particular device – for example, “how to add multiple clocks in Windows 10” for PC computers, or “how to add multiple clocks on iPhone” for iPhone users. Instructions will usually be available in the first search result.
We are incredibly excited about what we have lined up for you during WriteOnCon 2022! We hope that WriteOnCon helps you improve yourself as a writer, and also leads to some wonderful and lasting new friendships.
See you July 15th!
